Tom Butcavage, AIA, LEED AP is a leader of SmithGroup's Learning National Practice.  He is engaged in the design of learning environments for colleges and universities nationwide, with expertise in programming and building design.  His in-depth academic project type experience includes law schools, libraries, and classroom and student facilities.

 

With a comprehensive knowledge of campus development and planning, Butcavage stays on top of the university sectors - and the sustainable design movement - with high levels of involvement with the Society of College and University Planners (SCUP) and the Association of College Unions International (ACUI).  Some of his presentations and honors include:
