Clare Jagenow of SmithGroup elected President of the American Society of Landscape Architects Michigan Chapter

Clare Jagenow, RLA, ASLA, a landscape architect at SmithGroup, has been elected 2016 President of the Michigan Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

An active member of ASLA Michigan for over 10 years, Jagenow served six years concurrently as the editor of SITES and as a member of the executive committee. As president, Jagenow looks forward to her involvement in several state-wide awareness campaigns about the valuable role landscape architects play in society’s health, safety and welfare, as well as a large push to advocate for state licensure protection. 

Jagenow joined SmithGroup in 2006 after earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University. She is a registered landscape architect in the state of Michigan. She served as landscape architect for several of the firm’s significant university and urban planning projects, including Temple University Campus Master Plan and the City of Grand Rapids progressive Green Grand Rapids Infrastructure Plan.  

Jagenow is a resident of Trenton, Michigan.
