Ben Motyl Project Manager Detroit

Influenced by early immersion in the construction world, Ben developed a curiosity for how things are built and how ideas become reality. "Growing up around electricians and project managers, I was always fascinated by how projects came together," he recalls, a curiosity that ultimately led him to architecture. “It’s a way to for me to blend creativity with technical problem‑solving.” Ben specializes in healthcare architecture, focusing on environments that prioritize functionality, well‑being, and collaboration. "I believe architecture should be a dialogue, not a monologue," he explains, favoring meaningful design that delivers value over vanity. “I’m particularly passionate about complex, multidisciplinary healthcare projects where innovation and precision intersect.” Leading the VA El Paso project from concept through completion remains a defining moment in his career, demonstrating the power of collaboration and thoughtful design. Outside of work, Ben enjoys restoring and renovating his century‑old home, serving as his family’s primary cook, and diving into interests ranging from travel and history to science, film, and sports.
