"I’m good at making connections," suggests Laura, SmithGroup’s marketing director. "We have such unique knowledge and expertise at SmithGroup. Laura herself is a convergence of talents, with advanced degrees and professional experience in both architecture and marketing. "Working in a firm full of creative people constantly keeps me on my toes and pushes me to think big," says Laura. "Design is all about not being in the box. It’s about challenging limits, pushing boundaries and creating beauty in the world.” Laura has long appreciated the creative work of Walt Disney Studios; She originally planned to study animation, until she received a full scholarship to study architecture. "Architecture and animation were my number-one loves," she explains. "It just took me some time to realize that my real passion was marketing."
