SmithGroup, one of the leading architecture, engineering and planning firms in the U.S., has added Kevin Glasscock, AIA, LEED AP, as a senior project manager at its Dallas office.
Previously an associate principal at Omniplan Architects, Dallas, Glasscock brings nearly 30 years of experience to SmithGroup. Highlighting his portfolio are laboratory and research buildings such as the $146 million, 355,000-square-foot biomedical research building newly constructed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, which earned LEED Silver certification.
“Kevin Glasscock’s experience with the higher education market in Texas is a great fit for us,” said Jay Rambo, office director at SmithGroup’s office in Dallas. “He is well known for his expertise in managing complex projects for colleges and universities, including medical campuses,” Rambo added.
Glasscock will work closely with the firm’s Learning and Science & Technology practices. Among the SmithGroup projects Glasscock is now involved with include the Texas Tech University Plant and Soil Sciences Building, University of Texas at Dallas Callier Richardson Expansion, and the Southern Methodist University Dr. Bob Smith Health Center.
Glasscock received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
He is a native and current resident of Dallas, Texas.
