Boston health studio leader Kirsten Waltz has a knack for finding four-leaf clovers. Having once teamed with former Disney Imagineers to conceptualize the patient experience at a children’s hospital, Kirsten recognizes how a little "magic" can inform design. "When I approach design, it’s about more than just patients, families and staff having a good experience—we can bring wonder and joy to the healthcare environment." Kirsten’s evolution into healthcare architecture began early. "I grew up in a family of physicians. My dad took me on hospital rounds at a very early age, showing me everything from patient rooms to support spaces." Kirsten’s approach to her work today calls upon these formative experiences as well as her appreciation for well-designed spaces.
