This prestigious, national awards program celebrates outstanding professionals whose contributions have far-reaching, positive impacts in our communities and our world.
An internationally recognized and highly sought-after source on resilience, decarbonization, energy and infrastructure issues, Katrina works with a broad range of clients, partners, teammates and governing agencies to solve complex challenges and develop future-proof cities around the globe. Katrina joined SmithGroup's Pittsburgh office as a systems strategist in 2019 and has put her unique skillsets to work on such notable projects as Guangshun University and Laboratories, the City of Las Vegas Master Plan and Duquesne Lighting Company's "Utility of the Future," among others.
No stranger to the professional spotlight, Katrina is a frequent panelist, podcast guest and conference presenter. She also serves as Community Impact Advisor for the Pittsburgh Energy Innovation Center, is a Professor of Sustainable Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania to serve on the state's Council on Environmental Quality.
