Marianne brings inspiration and implementation talents to her role managing complex science and research design projects. As a seasoned architect and project manager with 30 years of experience in the industry, she was selected as Engineering News Record’s top 25 Newsmakers of the year in 2010. Marianne is president-elect of the American Institute of Architects San Francisco chapter. "I feel incredibly fortunate to work in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with an intelligent and driven team, for clients who lead their respective fields," she marvels. "Each day is energizing and thought-provoking. How much better could it get?" Marianne foresees an increased focus on protection of the planet’s resources. "Architects will no longer be fundamentally defined as building designers," she suggests. "Rather, many of us are devoted to becoming stewards of our natural resources in the built environment." Marianne earned degrees in both architecture and art history, and both fields continue to guide her sensibilities. Her idea of a perfect day: "Several hours savoring the delightful art in the Legion of Honor Museum," she responds, "and a walk along the Bay."
