Mark’s path to design wasn’t exactly traditional—though building a three-story treehouse as a teenager may have been an early clue. With degrees in urban planning and healthcare administration, he began his career in hospital management at a major healthcare system. “It gave me a front-row seat to how these organizations really work,” he says. A capital project introduced him to architecture and engineering teams, sparking the shift that led him to the world of healthcare design.  Today, Mark brings that blend of practical experience and design thinking to his work, encouraging teams to explore new ideas and stay curious. “We try to move past the usual playbook—leaning into new technology, materials, and research to create the best possible environments,” he says. He also brings a bit of his coaching spirit to the table. A former ice hockey player and coach, Mark keeps things energized, team-focused, and results driven.
