Understanding the potential in post-industrial and under-utilized shoreline land is key to beginning the process of bringing people out to the waterfront. Our team  understands the power of a signature lakefront access point and destination, and used that knowledge to revitalize the North Coast Harbor and marina.

53-Slip Transient Marina
Amenities Building & Cruise Dockage

North Coast Harbor Bay is one of Cleveland’s most thriving areas of development. Located just beside Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the FirstEnergy Stadium, the bay has come to represent a staple of American culture, fusing sailing, football, and rock and roll.

The harbor indeed has always fastened these cultural monoliths, but there was so much more that could be done to make more purposeful use of the shoreline. After all, with so many landmarks in the harbor, the redevelopment of the marina could mean much more commerce, especially if that marina was made transient, transforming it into a water parking lot, of sorts, encouraging out-of-town boaters to sail in, see the sights, then sail away.

Our team knew the traffic that a reimagined marina could precipitate, and ultimately constructed a 53-boat marina and amenities building. We also improved the mooring design for the 150-foot Goodtimes III Cruise Ship that habitually travels around the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie as Cleveland’s largest sightseeing boat.
