A Swimming Pool in the Anacostia? Study Calls It Feasible
Efforts have been underway for years to improve the health of the Anacostia River in Washington, DC. WUSA9 reporter John Henry talks with Erin Garnaas-Holmes of the Anacostia Waterfront Trust about the feasibility study SmithGroup led for the Trust, in collaboration with the DC Department of Energy and Environment, about whether a public swimming facility could be possible in the river. SmithGroup explored several options for swimming pool design approaches based on research of other river swimming pool projects abroad.
