Tim has long been interested in healthcare; as a teenager, he thought he might become an ophthalmologist. "Then I spent a day in my ophthalmologist’s office, witnessed an eye trauma, and said this is not for me," he recalls. Tim instead found his calling as an architect specializing in healthcare projects. "I like the collaboration that happens in our line of work," he says. "It’s great to be a part of teams that reinforce and build upon each other’s talents." Tim is inspired by "hard-working physicians and nurses, especially nurses who work with the pediatric population. They have such a positive spin caring for kids who are most likely chronically ill." He also admires business leaders like Richard Branson and Elon Musk. "They are providing some of the thought leadership that used to be tackled by countries, not individuals," he suggests. "They are out there with thoughts and processes that are going to change the world."
