"I’m big on communication," states Kevin, who serves as project manager for many higher education projects. "Project planning and team management is a group effort that requires consistent buy-in among the design team, contractor and client." He finds working with higher education clients to be especially rewarding, because of the opportunity to "create spaces that positively impact student engagement and improve learning outcomes." Kevin’s been on his own lifelong mission of learning, traveling the world to see the significant buildings and places he studied in architectural history classes. Next on the list is Japan. "I would love to see the Ise Shrine, a temple that is rebuilt every 20 years, connected entirely with wood joinery," he reports. "It is symbolic of impermanence, while teaching ancient construction techniques, perhaps one of the most interesting ways to communicate the past to future generations."
